The main word that comes to mind in describing Rev. Andrew Penhorwood is integrity; integrity to the Word of God, in dealing with people and in all aspects of Ministry. This characteristic is woven into every area of his life.

He was born on October 31, 1965 in Weatherford, Texas, to a truck driver and a housewife. Living in rural Texas, then rural Ohio most of his life he grew up developing his talents and abilities by helping his neighbors. In 1984 he joined the U.S. Air Force and served for 6 years. It was during this time that his brother Troy Penhorwood, also in the U.S. Air Force, passed away due to a drowning accident. This had a profound effect on him in that death became a reality. Until this time he did not believe the Word of God, but now he began to wonder if what the Bible teaches was true. While stationed in Okinawa, Japan, he started to attend a Full Gospel church pastored by an American Missionary. There the love of God gripped his heart until he had to have whatever those people possessed. On August 24, 1988 he was born again and filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. He sensed the call of God almost immediately and began to prepare for ministry.

After leaving the military he spent a short time in Ohio with family and then moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to attend Rhema Bible Training Center. He graduated in 1993 and moved back to Ohio where he worked in the local church teaching membership, baptism and prayer classes. Penhorwood Family 2015 From 1995 to 1998 he served as an associate pastor and an interim pastor. During all of this time in training and ministry he maintained a career in computers, from computer technician, mainframe operator to programmer and manager of an Internet Service Provider.

In 1999 he moved back to Tulsa with the idea of helping ministries associated with Rhema. He started to help Rev. David Lindstrom with his work in Guyana. Rev. Lindstrom was starting a bible school on the border of Guyana and Brazil. In 2000 he left his web programming job at MicahTek, Inc. and started teaching at Word of Faith Bible School in Bonfim, Brazil. A year later he found himself once again working for MicahTek as their lead web programmer but missions and Brazil was in his heart. God used this time back in the States for further training and to establish solid ties to Father's House Church in Tulsa. At Father's House he oversaw their Spanish speaking I.S.O.M. Bible School and worked as an usher. In 2002 he returned to the mission field and full time missions work.

In 2002 Rev. Penhorwood married Iris de Souze Bezerra a student of the Bible School in Bonfim, Brazil. In 2003 they had their first child, Glynda Bezerra Penhorwood. Rev. Penhorwood worked with a local church in Manaus then in 2004 started Igreja Casa do Pai (Father's House Church) in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil. The church was progressing fine but financial support for ministry in Brazil took a bad turn in 2005. After a short furlough to raise support back in the States, they returned to Brazil. The trip proved to cost more than the support it provided. In Nov. 2005 Rev. Penhorwood relocated to the States due to support issues.

Back in the USA Rev. Penhorwood now with a wife and small child turned to computer programming as a means for financial support. They joined Reigning in Life Church in Lexington, Ohio and became the associate pastor in 2006. The church moved to Ashland Ohio and changed its name to Ashland Faith Family Church. Ministry was fruitful and served everyone well for the next 3 years even though the position did not come with a salary. In 2009 Rev. Penhorwood decided to pursue better financial support for his family and took a web development job in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Penhorwood resided in North Carolina, attended church and endeavored to seek God for direction. In 2013 they moved back to Ohio and once again worked with Ashland Faith Family Church in Ashland Ohio.

Rev. Penhorwood started teaching again and helped remodel the building to better serve the needs of the people. At the end of 2013, 4 days before Christmas and with Iris 7 months pregnant with Thomas Bezerra Penhorwood, the contract programming position that was providing financial support for the Penhorwood's was abruptly cancelled.

Rev. Penhorwood put his trust in the Lord and found work in Northern Indiana. They moved to North Manchester in 2014 and began to attend Victory Christian Fellowship. Since that time they have looked to the Lord for direction and an avenue back to full time ministry.
